Lodge is a space that generates an ambience of welcoming, protection, and comfort. The individual approaches the encompassing form that creates an isolated environment of contemplation while maintaining a relationship with nature. Wood is stacked in layers to form different configurations that allows for a multitude of views to the surrounding context. The contrast between the screen-like views through the heavy wall that encompasses the space, alludes to the blurred lines between humankind’s intrinsic connection with nature.
